Intelligence is a big deal. We humans owe our dominant position on Earth not to the special strength of our muscles, nor the unusual sharpness of our teeth, but to the unique ingenuity of our brains.
Our brains are responsible for the complex social organization and the accumulation of technical, economic, and scientific advances which, for better and worse, undergird modern civilization.
Unlike the speed of light or the mass of an electron, human brain power is not an eternal constant. Brains can be enhanced. And, basically, machines can be made to process information as efficiently as – or more efficiently than – biological nervous systems.
Thus, there are multiple paths to greater intelligence. By “intelligence” I here refer to a constant flow of creative, innovative ideas to meet the needs of advertising, architecture, branding, design, fashion, film, games, marketing, media, music and television.
I don’t have a philosophy. I have a brain with a heart. My name Grübbeling has an Old High German origin and means ‘broody’ and that is why one considers Grübbeling ”the right man for the right idea“. Coincidence or predestination?
